POLYQUENCH A is a water-based PAG solution with biostable inhibitors and performance-enhancing additives designed for optimized quenching processes.

It is primarily formulated for the bulk quenching of ferrous materials, but it is also compatible with non-ferrous alloys.

Application

POLYQUENCH A is designed to enhance cooling uniformity and prevent film boiling on treated parts.

It is specifically formulated for the heat treatment of medium to low alloyed ferrous materials (C35 to 42CrMo4).

Due to the inverse solubility behavior of the polymer, a thin and uniform film forms on the part’s surface during quenching.

This helps reduce the thermal gradient between the surface and the core, particularly in the martensitic transformation range, minimizing residual stresses that can lead to cracking and deformation.

Despite being biocide-free, POLYQUENCH A is specially formulated to prevent bacterial and fungal growth, maintaining the cleanliness of the quench tank and improving workplace safety.

Additionally, it is designed to prevent rust-colored staining in the tank by incorporating corrosion inhibitors that protect both the equipment and the treated materials.
